Something you said in group last night made me pause more than once today….. 

“Am I even making a difference?” 

You have changed my life in so many ways, profound ways. I can remember how I FELT, the first time I met you. I was a stressed out, unhealthy, clueless zombie, lol. Uncomfortable in my own body, unhappy in my career and verging on the edge of diabetes. Looking back I cringe. I have come so far on my journey to health and wellness, and I am quite proud of myself. I know, without a shadow of doubt, that I have you to thank. Yes, I put in the work and made the changes – but you….I most definitely have you to thank for the guidance. 

Any tiny seemingly insignificant problem I have ever posed to you is always met with resolve. Forcing me to take swift action, resulting in a positive change, one way or the other. 

I am so happy I met you. I am so happy that you’re my doctor. I am so happy you are my cheerleader and my friend. I am just… so happy. 

You are a beautiful human being, inside and out. We need a lot more people like you in the world and if I can even emanate one ounce of that beauty than I think we as a society are on the right path. So to answer your question “am I making a difference?” the answer for me is a resounding HELL YES.”

Mind-body skills (such as meditation, biofeedback, guided imagery, and self-expression in drawings, words, and pictures) are scientifically validated to reduce stress and restore physical and psychological health. The mind-body approach heals individual trauma and builds community-wide resilience.
