Brooke’s Philosophy of Medicine
Brooke approaches her work with genuine curiosity and eagerness to explore. She believes that honoring each client’s unique lived experience nurtures our innate capacity for optimal wellness of body, mind, and spirit. She also acknowledges that “wellness”-including how we achieve, experience, and maintain it- is different for every person. Thus, her approach is relational and collaborative. She seeks to partner with clients to develop a treatment plan that addresses both short and long-term needs and goals based upon an understanding of their personal history, values, emotional framework, environment, lifestyle, and physical health.

- Are you sunrise, daylight, twilight, or night? Why?
-
Twilight. Always.
- If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?
-
I loved the simplicity of being 5 but wouldn’t choose that forever. I appreciated the growth and transformation that came with ages 23 and 32, but also wouldn’t chose those ages forever. There could be an argument for any age, but I’d like to try more of them out, so I’ll get back to you on this!
- If you were to geek out on something, what would you geek out on?
-
The intersection between psychoneuroimmunology and the built environment…. or the glymphatic system and the blood-brain barrier.
- Which is your favorite way to dance: with others or alone?
-
Alone. I adore dancing with others, but there’s nothing like a solo dance session in your kitchen to really move emotions through the body.
- What superhero do you most resonate with and why?
-
I don’t really resonate with superheroes. If I had to choose, maybe Spiderman. My “Spidey-senses” provide me a lot of information.
