Welcome to Village Medicine
Individualized Trans*+ Healthcare
Everyone is entitled to respectful and affirming healthcare. Period. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what kind of body you have – you are who you are. And that’s the person we want to get to know, care for, and support.
The healthcare system has a long history of failures and missed opportunities, and it still has a long way to go. We’re working to remove barriers preventing gender-diverse individuals from accessing the quality medical care they need and deserve.
As your trans* health clinic in Seattle, Village Medicine is proud to provide care that affirms you as the multidimensional person that you are.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What are bioidentical hormones?
-
Bioidentical hormones are molecularly identical to the hormones produced by your body such as estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Unlike synthetic hormones, bioidentical hormones are made from natural, rather than mad-made sources.
- What should I do if my child says they're trans?
-
The most important thing you can do is to respond with love, acceptance, and support. Create and hold space for your child to continue to explore their gender identity safely and without judgment. Don’t assume it’s only a phase, but give them room to grow and evolve in their understanding of who they know themselves to be. Our team at Village Medicine can help you navigate these waters, and is proud to be the most technologically and culturally advanced trans health clinic in Seattle.
- Why do you use the *+?
-
The use of trans (without the asterisk and/or the plus sign) is most often applied to trans men or trans women. The asterisk and/or plus sign may more broadly reference ever-evolving non-cisgender gender identities, including but certainly not limited to: non-binary, agender, bigender, genderfluid, genderf**k, genderless, genderqueer, non-gender, third gender, trans man, trans woman, transgender, transsexual, two-spirit, and others. Village Medicine is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for all people to receive the treatments and support they need.
