Meet Dr. Christopher Sheets
DNP, PMHNP-BC

(he/him)
Doctor of Nursing Practice

I grew up in an underserved area and saw the need for improved access to mental health care at an early age. This upbringing also allowed me to identify with many people’s struggles in life. As I grew older, I began to realize just how detrimental poor mental health can be to one’s being and saw that with improved mental health, people’s overall quality of life often increased by leaps and bounds. As I continued to evolve in my practice, I learned to Incorporate breathing techniques through yoga and began exploring other “alternative” ways to manage mental health symptoms including supplements, neurostimulation, and therapeutic interventions because mental health treatment is not a “one-size fits all” approach.

Christopher’s Philosophy of Medicine

I believe that one’s being is comprised of mental, physical, and spiritual health. Whenever one of these is out of balance, we lean heavily on the other two, but this can only hold up for so long. It Is important to maintain this balance as much as possible in life to prevent relapses or the development of Illness.
