Meet Stanford Call
MS, ARNP, PMHNP-BC

(he/him)
Advanced Registered Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

I come from an academic and research background in neuroscience, neurobiology, and neuropsychology. As interesting as my research work was, I wanted the opportunity to work with individuals improving their whole health in the present. I am still a scientist at heart and enjoy assisting others in discovering avenues of research, medication education, and empowering them with improved mental health treatments and real-world solutions.

Stanford’s Philosophy of Medicine

I believe in working collaboratively with my patients to address their whole health, considering solutions and treatment options across a broad spectrum and in partnership with other health professionals.

Addictions

Are you sunrise, daylight, twilight, or night? Why?

Twilight. I like that there are three different terms for the transition between light and last light both before sunrise and after sunset: Astronomical twilight (sun is 18 degrees below to horizon), Nautical twilight (sun is 12 degrees below the horizon), and Civil twilight (sun is 6 degrees below the horizon).

If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?

My impulse is to say 40 – a balance with between wisdom and adventure ability; but, honestly the age I am now at 52 is the most fun in terms of self-discovery and adventuring with friends and family that I have had in my life.

If you were to geek out on something, what would you geek out on?

I already geek out on Star Trek, “Live long and prosper.”
